18.2 Miles from the Buckhorn Tavern is The Box. It is a popular site for camping, hiking, and rock climbing.

I think these would be a great place to camp, however, its open range for a ranch...so cows are wandering around. I think that could get interesting.
Box Canyon is located approximately five miles west of Socorro off US 60. It was really easy to find and walk around. More Info / Website
